Assistant QC and product development (Zaandam)

We are focussed on our customers from our 6 regional sales offices located in Zaandam, the Netherlands; Bangkok, Thailand; Shanghai, China; Manilla, the Philippines; Jakarta, Indonesia; Montreal, Canada. And we are opening a sales office in Africa.
These sales offices are closely linked to our Regional Product Development Centres and our Production locations in Zaandam and Bangkok.
Your Challenge
As an assistant QC and Product Development, you ensure that our customers receive products with high quality and taste. You professionally support the research and application development and quality in the laboratory with taste tests, recipe preparation and testing of products in application (food), based on instructions. You prepare sensory tests according to current procedures and instruction from the Sensory Panel leader. You take care of sample shipment from application in the computer system to shipment, weighing, mixing, packaging and shipping recipes.
The main duties and responsibilities of the position are:
- • Preparing sensory analyses.
- • Processing results of sensory analyses.
- • Archiving samples and raw materials
- • Stock management Sample Room
- • A to Z shipment of samples to (potential) customers
- • Supporting and preparing application testing in food products
- • Supporting the Sensory Panel leader in the organisation and execution of taste tests
- • Preparing powder samples based on mixing recipes
- • Sending samples to internal and external customers in a timely manner
- • Performing or assisting with research work in the R&D lab
- • Organising raw material stock for the application and R&D teams
Your Profile
- • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- • Familiar with food sample preparation (products and applications)
- • You enjoy working in a small and close-knit team and keeping in touch with different levels in the organisation and diverse cultures
- • Experience with food industry applications and raw materials
- • Works accurately and eye for detail
- • Experience with Office 365, such as Word and Excel
- • Good administrative skills
- • Ability to evaluate products sensorially and describe taste
- • Fluent in Dutch, decent level of English required
